
Blackened Salmon

Ingredients
- 1 piece salmon with skin on
- 3 tsp cumin
- 3 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp thyme dried
- 1/4 tsp sea salt or other high quality salt
- black pepper freshly ground, to taste
- olive oil extra virgin
Instructions

Use a cast iron pan or other oven safe pan, heat to med-high on stove top.

Preheat oven to 400

Rub the salmon with spice mixture

Sear both sides of salmon for 1 minute each side, then put pan in the oven for 5 minutes. You can adjust the time depending on how you like your salmon cooked, and the thickness of the cut. Should flake easily with a fork when done.
Recipe Notes
The spice mixture is way too much for one serving. Store in a resealable container or bag for future use.
